I took some time today and uploaded my first card video. Things around my house have been stressfull with my Dad in the hospital. So ,I wanted to take some time to create. Papercrafting helps calm me and is a great stress relief. I hope you all like the end result. Let me know what you think? do you want to see more? what kinds of cards or techniques are you interested in? Take the time to create!

Here I created a card using Tim Holtz alcohol inks for the background, masking off a space behind the frog. Start with a piece of glossy white card stock measuring 4x 5 1/4.
TIP: when using a mask for the alcohol inks make sure you have secured the mask with removable adhesive. When you remove the mask you will have a stark white circle, use a new piece of felt with a light tan color to blend the background with some blending solution to soften the edges.
I cut the frog and greeting with the Cricut and added three punched circles with dimensional adhesive to "pop" the greeting. To get the "stripped" look on the greeting, I used 3 colors of green brushed tipped markers. All of this is layered onto a soft grey standard sized card base
made with DCWV texturized card stock.
